What is Fact Check Trump?
Fact Check Trump exists to inform American citizens and our international friends about what Donald Trump has to say to us and how these pearls of wisdom align with reality. We don't pretend to be neutral—we're vigilant about exposing his nonsense when we see it.
Our motivation crystallized after witnessing Trump's remarkably illogical economic proposal during his self-proclaimed "Liberation Day" speech on April 2nd, 2025, where he announced new tariffs on hundreds of countries. His formula for calculating these "reciprocal tariffs" was:

How do we categorize claims?
We evaluate claims using our ultra-sophisticated, quantum-powered, truth-detection algorithm that absolutely never makes mistakes (except when it does). After feeding Trump's statements through our state-of-the-art reality filter, we categorize them as follows:

Bullshit
The claim contains a mix of truth and falsehood, relies on misleading framing, makes unprovable assertions, exaggerates reality, combines unrelated facts to create a false impression, or is so divorced from fact that it deserves scrutiny rather than uncritical acceptance. This includes claims where Trump combines factually accurate elements with unwarranted conclusions or implications.
